SHFE Nickel Prices Closed Up 0.66% (Apr. 13, 2015)

SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 94,280/mt last Friday evening, breaking through the 10-day moving average but falling back down due to short covering.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 13 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 94,280/mt last Friday evening, breaking through the 10-day moving average but falling back down due to short covering. Trading volumes increased 20,128 to 89,440 lots, and total positions grew 4,268 to 109,896 lots.

SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 94,620/mt on Monday, dipping to as low as RMB 93,700/mt. As LME nickel prices stabilized, SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices increased and stood at the 10-day moving average, and closed at RMB 95,230/mt, up 0.66%. SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices are expected to maintain upward momentum.
