LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities declined to reach above 600 points mark on Wednesday due to the extended weaker demand for bigger vessels.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 6 points to 596 points on Wednesday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
