SHFE 1505 Lead Closes Up RMB 40/mt (Mar. 25, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Mar. 25 (SMM) – SHFE 1505 lead contract prices opened at RMB 12,490/mt Tuesday evening, and dropped to RMB 12,420/mt at one point, but rallied to RMB 12,450-12,500/mt later on, and closed at RMB 12,455/mt, up RMB 15/mt. Trading volumes were 1,034 lots, and total positions increased 36 to 13,310.

SHFE lead for May delivery edged up after starting on Wednesday and then slipped to RMB 12,390/mt. The prices rose back up later helped by declining short positions and ended up RMB 40/mt at RMB 12,480/mt. Trading volumes were 3,550 lots, and positions declined 284 to 12990. Closing prices were similar for SHFE 1504, 1505, 1506 and 1506 lead contracts. Long positions in SHFE 1506 lead contract increased.
