SHFE Zinc Prices Finish with Gains (Dec. 2, 2014)

SHFE 1502 zinc contract prices opened lower at RMB 16,375/mt Monday evening, and touched USD 16,630/mt, and closing at RMB 16,590/mt, up RMB 175/mt or 1.07%.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 2 (SMM) – SHFE 1502 zinc contract prices opened lower at RMB 16,375/mt Monday evening, and touched USD 16,630/mt, and closing at RMB 16,590/mt, up RMB 175/mt or 1.07%. Trading volumes decreased 110,000 to 149,000 lots, and total positions were down 2,839 to 127,000 lots.

SHFE 1502 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,580/mt Tuesday, then inched up but failed to break through RMB 16,600/mt, and closing at RMB 16,530/mt, up RMB 115/mt or 0.7%. Trading volumes decreased 116,682 to 264,672 lots, and total positions decreased 4,754 to 125,344 lots. SHFE 1501 zinc contract prices are expected to consolidate this evening.
