SMM Nickel Market Morning Review (2014-11-10)

LME nickel prices overnight opened at USD 15,400/mt overnight, then fluctuated between USD 15,400-15,500/mt during Asian trading hours, touching as high as USD 15,633/mt during European trading hours.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 10 (SMM) – LME nickel prices overnight opened at USD 15,400/mt overnight, then fluctuated between USD 15,400-15,500/mt during Asian trading hours, touching as high as USD 15,633/mt during European trading hours, and closed the day at USD 15,410/mt, down 0.43%. Trading volumes increased 1,186 to 3,423 lots, and total positions were down 186 to 212,000 lots. LME nickel inventories grew 1,104 to 387,200 mt.

LME nickel prices should hover around USD 15,500/mt today, and spot nickel prices in Shanghai will move between RMB 103,800-105,000/mt.
