SHANGHAI, Oct. 28 (SMM) – LME nickel prices overnight opened at USD 14,950/mt, then rallied to USD 15,000/mt but inched down later to USD 14,920-14,970/mt, with trading quiet during Asian trading hours. During European trading hours, LME nickel prices dipped to USD 14,733/mt, and closing at USD 14,700/mt, down 1.67%. Trading volumes increased 1,101 to 3,889 lots, and total positions were down 618 to 208,225 lots. The opening of LME trading is delayed to 9:00 am.
LME nickel prices are expected to fall below RMB 14,500/mt today, and spot nickel prices in Shanghai will drop below RMB 100,000/mt.
