Australian hard coking coal export prices down in September

The September monthly average prices for Australian exports of Premium Hard Coking Coal (PHCC) and Hard Coking Coal (HCC) fell by 1.22% and 2.29% month-on-month to $112.28 a ton and $93.96 a ton.

PERTH (Scrap Register): The September monthly average prices for Australian exports of Premium Hard Coking Coal (PHCC) and Hard Coking Coal (HCC) fell by 1.22% and 2.29% month-on-month to $112.28 a ton and $93.96 a ton FOB East Coast Australian port respectively.
 
The daily Premium Hard Coking Coal (PHCC) spot price index for Australian exports fell $0.90 a ton from $112.80 a ton FOB East Coast Australian port at the beginning of the month to $111.90 a ton by the middle of the month, down –0.80%. 
 
Prices then picked up for a week before settling at $112.80 a ton at the end of the month. 
 
TSI’s PHCC index monthly average for September fell –1.22% on a month-on-month comparison to $112.28a ton FOB East Coast Australian port. 
 
On the other hand, TSI’s JM25 PHCC index monthly average for Chinese imports rose by 3.36% m-o-m to $123.15 a ton CFR Jingtang port.
