Chaowei Power Co. will put online its lead-acid battery recycling project soon, local media reported.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 29 (SMM) – Chaowei Power Co. will put online its lead-acid battery recycling project soon, local media reported.

The project, located in the recycling economic park in Xinhe County of Hebei Province, is expected to recycle 150,000 tonnes of lead from scrap batteries annually.

Chaowei Power built the park in 2012, with total investment of 2.2 billion yuan. A total of 45 million new-energy batteries will be produced once all projects come online.
