SMM Brief on SHFE Lead Prices (2014-7-11)

The most active SHFE 1408 lead contract failed to track LME lead prices up during Thursday's night session, and ended down RMB 5/mt at RMB 14,045 /mt.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 11 (SMM) – The most active SHFE 1408 lead contract failed to track LME lead prices up during Thursday's night session, and ended down RMB 5/mt at RMB 14,045 /mt. During the night session, a total of 328 lots were traded, down 58 lots from the previous session.

On Friday, SHFE lead prices hovered largely between RMB 14,045-14,055/mt during the morning trading session, and rose later to RMB 14,060/mt before ending down RMB 5/mt at RMB 14,045/mt. Trading volumes were only 228 lots, and positions were off 60 lots to 6,312 lots.
