Zinc Conc. Imports at China Port of Lianyungang Grow 47.30% in First Five Months

The Port of Lianyungang in Jiangsu province imported 235,100 tonnes of zinc concentrate during the first five months of 2014, up 47.30% year-on-year, China Quality News reported today.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 16 (SMM) – The Port of Lianyungang in Jiangsu province imported 235,100 tonnes of zinc concentrate during the first five months of 2014, up 47.30% year-on-year, China Quality News reported today. 

Inbound shipments to Lianyungang, valued at $163 million, mainly came from Australia and South America during this period. Australia contributed to 96,800 tonnes in total imports.  

Imports largely went to Henan, Shaanxi and Gansu province, and Henan Yuguang Zinc Industry Co., was the biggest importer, it added.
