SMM Brief on SHFE Lead Prices (2014-6-9)

LME lead prices started last Friday’s night session at RMB 14,015/mt, and then trended higher to close up RMB 50/mt at RMB 14,055/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – SHFE lead prices started last Friday’s night session at RMB 14,015/mt, and then trended higher to close up RMB 50/mt at RMB 14,055/mt. During the night session, traded volumes were 28 lots, while positions were off 4 lots to 4,990 lots.

On Monday, the most active SHFE 1408 lead contract dipped to a low of RMB 13,990/mt immediately after opening, but rebounded at the tail of the trading to end up RMB 15/mt at RMB 14,020/mt. Traded volumes rose sharply to 822 lots, while positions added 262 lots to 5,256 lots.
