Spot Aluminum Price Movement in South China (2014-6-5)

The SHFE front-month aluminum contract went down on Thursday to hover around the 20-day moving average, sending physical aluminum prices in south China down.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 5 (SMM) – The SHFE front-month aluminum contract went down on Thursday to hover around the 20-day moving average, sending physical aluminum prices in south China down. Cargo holders were disinclined to move goods at low prices and held prices firm. Some downstream producers began buying the dips, with trading activity improving slightly. Physical aluminum traded largely in the RMB 13,200-13,220/mt range on Thursday.
