SHANGHAI, Apr. 28 (SMM) – The most active SHFE 1405 lead contract price opened last Friday’s night session at RMB 13,930/mt, and ended down RMB 5/mt at RMB 13,925/mt. With the dearth of major news early Monday, the contract price fluctuated between RMB 13,910-13,930/mt, and then closed down RMB 15/mt at RMB 13,915/mt. Traded volumes were 562 lots, while positions were off 264 lots to 5,980 lots. Tight physical supply helped support the SHFE 1405 lead contract price, but the price gap between the SHFE 1405 and 1406 contracts narrowed appreciably due to the absence of bullish sentiment.
