SHANGHAI, Apr. 17 (SMM) – SHFE 1405 aluminum contract inched up after opening higher at RMB 13,135/mt on Thursday. This allowed cargo holders in south China to raise offers, driving mainstream traded prices up to RMB 13,030-13,050/mt. Downstream producers bought in small amounts, betting that the price increase will turn out to be short-lived.
