Local government of Loudi city, Hunan province, has invested a total of 1.2 billion yuan ($194 million) since the beginning of the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015), local media reported.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 17 (SMM) – Local government of Loudi city, Hunan province, has invested a total of 1.2 billion yuan ($194 million) since the beginning of the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015) to combat pollution caused by antimony mining, local media reported. 

The local government has eliminated and closed 78 small enterprises engaged in antimony mining, dressing and smelting and rectified 9 companies since the start of 2010. 
 
Loudi houses many mineral resources, such as antimony, steel and coal, and has been a major supplier of energy and raw materials in China.
