ASEAN HRC Steel import prices rise by $4 per ton

ASEAN hot rolled cold (HRC) steel import prices (CFR ASEAN port) rose by $4 per ton week-on-week to $545 per ton in the week ended April 4th this year.

SINGAPORE (Scrap Register): ASEAN hot rolled cold (HRC) steel import prices (CFR ASEAN port) rose by $4 per ton week-on-week to $545 per ton in the week ended April 4th this year, as per the latest figures released by The Steel Index.

According to TSI, ASEAN HRC index saw a slight uplift today as Chinese exporters increased their offer prices.

Transactions for Chinese-origin SAE grades were seen concluded between $540-546 a ton and SS400 grades in the $525-535 a ton range (CFR ASEAN Port).

The Vietnamese market saw increased activity in HRC trading, as local buyers attempted to book material before new government regulations on HRC imports come into effect in June.
