North European HRC Steel prices decline to €450 a ton

North European hot rolled cold (HRC) steel prices declined by €1 a ton week-on-week to €450 per ton in the week ended February 28th this year.

LONDON (Scrap Register): North European hot rolled cold (HRC) steel prices declined by €1 a ton week-on-week to €450 per ton in the week ended February 28th this year, as per the latest figures released by the The Steel Index.

According to TSI, a flurry of spot transactions concluded around the €450 a ton level in the North European HR coil market last week, unchanged from last week’s levels.

The North European HRC swaps market saw Calendar ’15 trade for €480 a ton, according to a London-based broker.

In South Europe, buyers secured small decreases of up to €5 a ton from a week ago as prices edged closer to the €430 a ton mark.
