






SHANGHAI, Dec. 19 (SMM) - China's Tsingshan Holding Group put into production a 60,000-tpy smelter making high carbon ferro-chrome in Zimbabwe, the first of a series of planned projects in the African country.
Tsingshan lron & Steel Co.’s chairman Xiang Guangda, and head of Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce Mike Bimha presented at a ceremony in late November, Tsingshan Holding said on its website earlier this week.
Operation of the production line represented a milestone in Tsingshan’s development in the stainless steel industry as it helped to form a complete industry chain, Xiang said at the ceremony.
