SHANGHAI, Dec. 2 (SMM) – Spot copper in Shanghai was quoted at a premium of RMB 50-130/mt over SHFE 1312 copper contract on Monday. Traded prices were RMB 50,780-50,900/mt for standard-quality copper, and RMB 50,820-50,980/mt for high-quality copper. Cargo holders were not anxious to sell and raised offers slightly now that liquidity has increased at the beginning of the month. A few traders entered the market when there was room for arbitrage, while downstream producers bought only to order.
