Spot Aluminum Price Movement in East China (2013-11-29)

Spot aluminum prices drifted lower to RMB 14,260-14,270/mt in Shanghai on Friday, a premium of RMB 40-50/mt over SHFE 1312 aluminum contracts.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 29 (SMM) – Spot aluminum prices drifted lower to RMB 14,260-14,270/mt in Shanghai on Friday, a premium of RMB 40-50/mt over SHFE 1312 aluminum contracts. Prices were RMB 14,270-14,280/mt in Wuxi, and RMB 14,260-14,280/mt in Hangzhou. Traders raised offers due to tight supply, but downstream producers refrained from buying at higher prices, forcing traders to cut offers later in the day.
