China’s State Council to Continue to Tackle Overcapacity in Q4

China’s industrial sector moved smoothly during the first three quarters of this year thanks to the central government’s pro-growth policy and economic restructuring.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 27 (SMM) -  

SCIO: Efforts to Tackle Overcapacity to Continue into Q4 
China’s industrial sector moved smoothly during the first three quarters of this year thanks to the central government’s pro-growth policy and economic restructuring, the State Council Information Office (SCIO) said. However, the secondary industry is still confronted with weak demand and severe overcapacity, the SCIO warned. The State Council has pledged continued efforts in Q4 to tackle the country’s capacity surplus.

TNMG’s Subsidiaries Found Emitting Excessive Levels of Pollutants
Anhui province carried out pollutant monitoring work on 335 key enterprises in its jurisdiction in Q3. Sulfuric acid mist concentration level emitted by Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group (TNMG)’s subsidiary – Jinchang Smelting Co. was 35 times higher than standards and fluoride concentration level by Tongling Shangfeng Cement Co. exceeded standards by 7.48 times, the survey has found.
