China's Sept ferrous Scrap imports from USA decline 51.8% m/m; Hong Kong up by 49.4%

China's ferrous scrap imports from USA declined sharply in September this year while its imports Hong Kong advanced significantly, as per the latest figures released by the Customs data.

BEIJING (Scrap Register): China's ferrous scrap imports from USA declined sharply in September this year while its imports Hong Kong advanced significantly, as per the latest figures released by the Customs data.

According to the Custom data, country's ferrous scrap imports from USA declined sharply by 51.8% month-on-month to 49,152.22 tons in September this year while its imports from Hong Kong advanced significantly by 49.4% month-on-month to 15,151.18 tons.

China's biggest ferrous scrap importer in September was Japan with 195,775.66 tons of scrap, slightly dipped by -0.1% month-on-month.

China's total ferrous scrap imports dropped by 3.4% year-on-year to 287,614.38 tons in September this year and dipped by 14.4% month-on-month.
