DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Oct. 21 (SMM) – A 400,000-tpy copper smelting plant of Jinchuan Group Ltd. was formally put on stream over the weekend.
The plant, built by subsidiary company Guangxi Jinchuan Non-Ferrous Metals Co. in Fangchenggang city of Guangxi region, would also be able to produce nickel pig iron of 200,000 tpy and sulfuric acid of 1.5 million tpy, according to People’s Daily Online.
A total of 30 billion yuan ($4.9 billion) was planned to be invested to grow the copper-making capacity to 600,000 tpy, according to the state media report.
