Mainstream traded prices for spot aluminum in south China edged down RMB 25/mt from the previous trading day to RMB 14,420-14,440/mt on Monday, dragged down by mounting inventories.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 14 (SMM) – Mainstream traded prices for spot aluminum in south China edged down RMB 25/mt from the previous trading day to RMB 14,420-14,440/mt on Monday, dragged down by mounting inventories. Downstream producers, anticipating a decline in aluminum prices after SHFE 1311 aluminum contacts shift to the new current-month contracts, refrained from buying.
