Disappointing HSBC’s flash China manufacturing PMI for July dragged SHFE 1310 aluminum contract prices down on Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 24 (SMM) – Disappointing HSBC’s flash China manufacturing PMI for July dragged SHFE 1310 aluminum contract prices down on Wednesday. This left traders in South China in a hurry to move goods. Downstream producers, however, showed little interest as the end-of-month liquidity crunch bit in, pulling mainstream traded prices in the region down to RMB 14,640-14,660/mt.
