SHFE 1310 aluminum contract prices inched up on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1310 aluminum contract prices inched up on Tuesday. Spot aluminum prices in South China failed to break through RMB 14,700/mt as downstream producers refused to buy at highs, but did hold firm at RMB 14,680/mt, a premium of RMB 290/mt over Shanghai. Optimism over aluminum prices is fading as cargo holders are worried that aluminum inventories in Guangdong will grow significantly.
