South China Aluminum Price: Prices Tumble to RMB 15,000/Mt on Sour Sentiment

SHFE 1309 aluminum contract tumbled to RMB 14,500/mt on Tuesday, the lowest since early May, souring sentiment in spot market.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1309 aluminum contract tumbled to RMB 14,500/mt on Tuesday, the lowest since early May, souring sentiment in spot market. Supply was abundant, but downstream producers in Guangdong stayed out of the market, weighing mainstream traded prices down to RMB 15,000/mt, RMB 340/mt higher than in Shanghai.
