Tin Consumption Analysis, 30,000 Mt Tin Capacity Settles in Nankang

SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – Here are major reports for China tin markets in the past week.
 
End-User Consumption of Refined Tin – Home Appliance Data Jan.-Apr.
Output for six types of home appliances all increase in the first four months, led by mobile phones with output rising 19.2%. Computer output also increased 10.4%. The sharp rises in these two categories were mainly contributed by tablets and smartphones. 
 
Output of other traditional home appliances also rose. As subsidies for home appliance purchases in rural areas, the trade-in policy for home appliance and subsidies for energy-saving home appliance all expired on June 1, the outlook for traditional home appliance markets remained uncertain. 

Nankang Introduced Ausmelt Furnace Tin Smelting Project
Nankang Kaiyuan Mining entered into contract to introduce Ausmelt furnace tin smelting project. The project was located in Nankang Circular Industry Park and covers an area of some 35.3 hectares, with total investment at RMB 2.06 billion. The project will be able to produce 30,000 mt of refined tin each year after coming online, and is expected to realize RMB 6.15 billion in output value, with profit and tax hitting RMB 650 million.
