China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in May 2013

SHANGHAI,June. 8 -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 358,672 mt during May , with YTD imports from January to May at 1,622,220 mt, down 24.7 % YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 360 kt during May , with YTD imports from January to May at 17.3 million mt, down 6.9% YoY.

China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 72,662 mt in May , with YTD imports from January to May at 321,181 mt, down 38.7 % YoY. Alumina imports were 200 kt during May , with YTD imports from January to May at1560 kt, down 27.9% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 200kt during May , with YTD imports from January to May at 950 kt,down 7.2% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 43,988 mt in May , with YTD exports from January to May at 218,358 mt, down 24.8 % YoY.
