South China Aluminum Price: Gains Sustained on Short Supply

SHFE 1309 aluminum contract prices tempered gains on Tuesday, meeting resistance at RMB 14,900/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 4 (SMM) – SHFE 1309 aluminum contract prices tempered gains on Tuesday, meeting resistance at RMB 14,900/mt. Mainstream traded prices in Guangdong, however, advanced to RMB 15,050-15,080/mt on short supply, a premium of more than RMB 200/mt over Shanghai. Downstream producers purchased on an as-needed basis.
