SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) - Some large traders are considering setting the first domestic LME warehouse in Shanghai Yangshan bonded zone, so as to enhance Shanghai as a most commodity transportation center in Asia-Pacific regions.

Earlier in 2008, LME have been negotiating regarding setting a warehouse in bonded zones with Shanghai, but the plan failed due to some reasons. An official from Shanghai Free Trade Zone Administration Committee reported current conditions are more mature than five years ago as LME which have been purchased by HKEx will further explore Asia market, and warehouses are infrastructures. Besides, the Chinese commodity market is more open.
