SHANGHAI, Apr. 25 (SMM) -

Overseas News:
GAA, a leading ferroalloy producer, recently announced it has acquired 100% stakes of GM’s Georgia branch, allowing it to expand its ferroalloy business and optimize its investment portfolio.

Domestic market:
Spot manganese ore prices at ports remained stable, and traders were less willing to cut offers. Steel producers began to invite tenders for manganese alloy purchases. Prices offered by Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group were in line with market expectations, but had little impact on the market. Silicomanganese alloy prices have fallen to near cost levels. If steel producers continue to push for even lower alloy prices, alloy producers will be forced to close against high manganese ore prices and low alloy prices.

Transactions:
Newly arrived manganese ore was quickly sold as most of which has been ordered by alloy producers. Traders were bearish over future trading.
