China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in March 2013

SHANGHAI,Apr. 10 -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 319,603 mt during March, with YTD imports from January to March at 967,632 mt, down 28.9 % YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 350 kt during March, with YTD imports from January to March at 10.3 million mt, down 3.0% YoY.
 
China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 69,845 mt in March, with YTD imports from January to March at 184,361 mt, down 45.6 % YoY. Alumina imports were 200 kt during March, with YTD imports from January to March at1030 kt, down 10.9% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 200 kt during March, with YTD imports from January to March at 570 kt,down 0.6% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 50,671 mt in March, with YTD exports from January to March at 120,405 mt, down 31.3 % YoY.
