DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Apr. 2 (SMM) - According to the latest SMM survey of 22 domestic electric wire and cable producers, raw material inventories at the surveyed producers dropped to 31.8% of production in March, returning the pre-holiday level. Producers expected orders for May to keep a mild growth, but growing supply pressures in the spot copper market and weak copper prices will restrict building-up of raw materials. Besides, producers prefer to purchase goods on an as-needed basis with more working capital from rising orders.
