South China Aluminum: Markets Bearish, Spot Trading Subdued

SHFE 1306 aluminum contract prices lost more than 1% after gapping lower on Monday, depressing sentiment in spot markets and sending prices in south China down to RMB 14,480-14,490/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1306 aluminum contract prices lost more than 1% after gapping lower on Monday, depressing sentiment in spot markets and sending prices in south China down to RMB 14,480-14,490/mt. Traders were anxious to sell, but downstream producers were little interested in buying, leaving overall trading subdued.
