The silicomanganese alloy market fluctuated weakly due to sluggish downstream demand and slow silicomanganese alloy inventories depletion.
SHANGHAI, Mar. 14 (SMM) – The silicomanganese alloy market fluctuated weakly due to sluggish downstream demand and slow silicomanganese alloy inventories depletion. SMM sources report the high steel inventories weighed on steel prices, so steel plants pushed down silicomanganese alloy prices significantly. Traded prices for silicomanganese alloy remained low given supply sufficiency. SMM sources report the silicomanganese alloy producers that have ore or electricity advantages will maintain normal production, while those lack advantages have or plan to cut output.
