South China Aluminum: Offers Firm, but Trading Limited

SHFE 1306 aluminum contract prices rebounded on Wednesday, sending spot aluminum prices up as well.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 13 (SMM) – SHFE 1306 aluminum contract prices rebounded on Wednesday, sending spot aluminum prices up as well. Traders in south China held offers firm at RMB 14,590/mt on news that the State Reserve Bureau will buy aluminum ingot on Friday. However, downstream producers and middlemen held to the sidelines, preventing spot aluminum prices from rising above RMB 14,600/mt. Overall trading was moderate.
