SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Mar. 4-8)

Losses on imported brass edged down to about RMB 200/mt, but traders still had no intention of importing.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 12 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western remained unchanged between USD 5,230-5,250/mt last week. CIF offers for Bulgarian brass held around USD 4,900/mt, and approximately USD 4,800/mt for German and Spanish brass. Mainstream offers for US brass, Western stabilized between RMB 38,400-38,800/mt on China’s domestic markets. Losses on imported brass edged down to about RMB 200/mt, but traders still had no intention of importing.
