SHANGHAI, Mar. 8 (SMM) – Preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on March 8 showed that China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis during February were 298,102 mt, and totaled 649,062 mt in the first two month in 2013, down 27.8% YoY.
China's scrap copper imports during February were 300,000 mt and amounted to 680,000 mt during January-February, up 7.9% YoY.
China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis during February were 45,478 mt, and 114,502 mt during January-February, down 47.5%.
Alumina imports were 350,000 mt in February, and totaled 840,000 mt during January-February, up 16.2%.
Scrap aluminum imports during February were 160,000 mt, and 69,733 mt in the first two month, down 34.9% YoY.
