China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in February 2013

SHANGHAI,Mar. 8 -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 298,102 mt during February, with YTD imports from January to February at 649,062 mt, down 27.8 % YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 300 kt during February, with YTD imports from February to February at 6.8 million mt, up 7.9% YoY.

China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were45,478 mt in February, with YTD imports from January to February at 114,502 mt, down 47.5 % YoY. Alumina imports were 350 kt during February, with YTD imports from January to February at840 kt, up 16.2% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 160 kt during February, with YTD imports from January to February at 370 kt,up 5.4% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 19,302 mt in February, with YTD exports from January to February at 69,733mt, down 34.9 % YoY.
