SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Feb. 25- Mar. 1)

Losses on imported brass narrowed to roughly RMB 200/mt, but traders still exhibited no intention of importing.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 6 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western held between USD 5,230-5,250/mt last week. CIF offers for Bulgarian brass were still around USD 4,900/mt, and approximately USD 4,800/mt for German and Spanish brass. Mainstream quotes for US brass, Western remained unchanged between RMB 38,400-38,800/mt on China’s domestic markets. Losses on imported brass narrowed to roughly RMB 200/mt, but traders still exhibited no intention of importing.
