SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Feb. 18-22)

Brass importers reported losses of about RMB 300/mt and therefore had no intention of importing.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 26 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western marched slightly down to USD 5,230-5,250/mt last week. CIF offers for Bulgarian brass were down to around USD 4,900/mt, and roughly USD 4,800/mt for German and Spanish brass. Mainstream quotes for US brass, Western also edged down to RMB 38,400-38,800/mt on China’s domestic markets. Brass importers reported losses of about RMB 300/mt and therefore had no intention of importing.
