SHANGHAI, Feb. 21 (SMM) – SHFE 1305 aluminum contract prices tumbled on Thursday, sending spot aluminum prices plunging. Traders in south China remained active in moving goods, but steep price declines triggered strong-wait-and-see sentiment. Downstream producers purchased limited amounts, while some middlemen went bargain-hunting. Mainstream traded prices were reported at RMB 14,630-14,650/mt and overall trading was thin.
