Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slightly up 0.57 percent, or 13.87 points, to end at 2,432.40.

BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slightly up 0.57 percent, or 13.87 points, to end at 2,432.40.

The Shenzhen Component Index slid 0.85 percent, or 84.32 points, to 9,989.09.
