SMM Weekly Review on Brass Imports (Feb. 4-8)

Brass importers continued incurring losses and thus evinced no appreciable interest in importing.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 8 (SMM) –Turning to the brass market, CIF quotations for US brass, Western inched up to USD 5,250-5,280/mt last week. CIF offers for Bulgarian brass increased to around USD 4,930/mt, and roughly USD 4,830/mt for German and Spanish brass. Mainstream quotes for US brass, Western were also raised higher to RMB 38,500-38,900/mt on China’s domestic markets. Brass importers continued incurring losses and thus evinced no appreciable interest in importing.
