South China Aluminum: Trading Muted as Few Suppliers and Buyer Enter Markets

SHFE 1304 aluminum contract prices lost support at RMB 15,200/mt after a low opening on Friday due to China’s discouraging January manufacturing PMI.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 1 (SMM) – SHFE 1304 aluminum contract prices lost support at RMB 15,200/mt after a low opening on Friday due to China’s discouraging January manufacturing PMI. Few suppliers and buyers entered the spot market in south China as Chinese New Year is only a few days away. Offers edged down to RMB 14,990-15,000/mt. Overall trading was muted.
