Gold Price Closes Higher in Hong Kong Jan 16

The gold price in Hong Kong moved up 8 HK dollars to close at 15,608 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

HONG KONG, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- The gold price in Hong Kong moved up 8 HK dollars to close at 15,608 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to 1,690.54 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 0.87 U.S. dollars at the latest exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.75 HK dollars.
