SMM sources report silicomanganese alloy market in south China and north China was mixed.
SHANGHAI, Jan. 16 (SMM) – SMM sources report silicomanganese alloy market in south China and north China was mixed. Operating rates in south China were low, and spot supply was tight, particularly for SiMn 60/14, with prices up slightly. Meanwhile, operating rates at silicomanganese alloy producers in north China were higher, with sufficient spot supply. But rising manganese ore and coke prices allowed silicomanganese alloy prices to remain firm.
