China 2012 Copper, Copper Product Imports 4.65 Mln Tons, up 14.1% on Year

China's imports of copper, copper alloy and semifinished products in December fell 33% from a year earlier to 341,211 metric tons, the General Administration of Customs said Thursday.

Jan 09, 2013 (Dow Jones) BEIJING--China's imports of copper, copper alloy and semifinished products in December fell 33% from a year earlier to 341,211 metric tons, the General Administration of Customs said Thursday.

December imports were down 24.5% from a month earlier.

In 2012, imports rose 14.1% to reach 4.65 million tons, customs said.
