SHANGHAI, Jan. 9 (SMM) – The silicomanganese alloy market remained steady today. SMM sources report prices for imported silicomanganese alloy are firm. Steel prices continued to rise, but prices for silicomanganese alloy could barely improve due to sufficient spot supply. Some steel plants advanced purchase for February. As a result, the market will face risk around the Chinese New Year holiday.
